The Bible is our only authority it is our only rule and standard, and we must abide by its teaching in every respect. My message must always came from the Bible, and not from nowhere else. Further , my method must also came from this Book. My whole activity in the things of God must be determined by the Bible message and method. I must not believe anything else unless is plainly stated in the Scriptures or else can be ultimately deduced from Scriptures. And if neither of these applies I must rejected as not being part of the truth of God. I have no authority but this. Scriptures is my authority. And I must never go outside of it. This is the only revelation from God to man, and it is the only authority.
The Bible is one book. Though it consist of the Old Testament and the New Testament it is only one book. It is not a “library of books” it is the same fundamental truth about the saving God and its great purpose.
The Old Testament is essential we cannot dispense with the Old Testament because we are Christians and because we are living in what we call the New Testament dispensation. And the New Testament teaching must never contradict the Old Testaments. The Old Testament teaching is about sacrifice; the offering has to be made. Without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.
It was God who was putting His Son to death. It was God who made it to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we may be made the righteousness of God in Him. If I interpret the death of Christ in the New Testament apart from these terms of sacrifices and expiation my interpretation is wrong, the New Testament is the fulfilment of the Old.
The Bible is the primary source of law and morality, the fountain of wisdom, and the infallible guide to life, the inspired witness to Jesus Christ.
